Control Pirate Boat why the big nations not controlling the somali pirates ?
Now they hijacked a tug boat in the gulf of Aden with 16 crew. If they are uncontrollable, they will become another menace to the world.
First of all, the idea that a few pirates are a "menace to the world" is kinda silly. There have always been pirates, there will always be pirates. The damage they are capable of inflicting is trivial in the greater scheme of things, they are criminals who kill almost no one and steal peanuts compared to some of the open larceny going on in the world.
Piracy is almost always a situational thing. You have desperate poverty in a failed state next to major shipping lanes. That alone would create a few pirates. That many of the people in Somalia blame the west for the problems in Somalia (not entirely without justification) it's not surprising that the pirates have local safe havens. You can do your best to defend against them, but hunting them at sea is like trying to deal with a hornet problem by hunting hornets. As long as the nest is there, there will still be hornets.
The only real solution is for southern Somalia (northern Somalia is actually divided into four reasonably functional states: Puntland, Somaliland, Galmudug and Maakhir.) The west (primarily the USA) insists that the only "legitimate" Somali government is the one created by the UN, the so called transitional government. Oddly enough, it enjoys little to no support among actual Somalis, go figure, but the west continues to try and force it down Somalia's throat, first by an Ethiopian invasion, now by African "peacekeeping" troops. The result is anarchy ... and piracy.
Of course it's controllable. When southern Somalia did form its own government, the UIC, they put a stop to piracy pronto:
In fact the six months the UIC was running the show in Southern Somalia, piracy dropped to almost nothing. The USA wasn't about to let the Somalis run their own affairs though, so the Ethiopians were given the green light to invade and install the transitional government in power. It was a bloody failure, and piracy flourished in the failed state the invasion created.
So the real question is, why does the west, primarily the USA, keep meddling in Somali affairs and trying to impose a western approved government in Somalia, despite decades of bloody failure in this endeavour? Beats me, but as long as they do, there will be pirates operating out of Somalia.
