Gear High
My 99 Dodge Grand Caravan's transmission won't shift to high gear & speed odometer won't work?
The transmission seems to try to shift up for a second & odometer tries to work than,it seems to die down. The air condition stop working right before this problem started. I could smell something like a burning odor.
Take it to a dealer for diagnosis.

"ashaman" has the answer, but shame on him, you should only disconnect it to test it, never run the car without this solenoid or you'll eventually screw up the transmission.

Oh sure, there are a LOT of jobs going overseas. For example, about 15 years ago I worked as a design engineer building high-reliability switching power supplies for the telecommunications industry. I watched as *all* of the design engineering work was shipped to China and Eastern Europe.

I'd just say don't burn yourself out, try your best and if that's not good enough for them then I don't know what is. They're lucky to have a daughter like you in the first place, they shouldn't be so nit-picky. Parents don't realize the pressure's put on highschool students these days. hmph.
