Hydro Vee

im looking for a canvas for a 1973 chrysler hydro vee, could any one tell me where to find one?
There are so many configurations of boats and canvas that even manufacturers of boats rely on a 3d party contract for their canvas work. Boat canvas is custom made and fit for each boat individually. You get to choose the configuration, where the zippers are, colors, quality of materials, etc.
By the marina where I live, there are two canvas shops in the area that make bimini's and dodgers as well as do things like cushions, carpet, etc.
Another option is a company called "sailrite". They will sell you equipment and materials and you do the labor yourself. They even have books and videos available for different projects from making sails to cushions, sun shades and dodgers.
Good luck

Pics and drawings? 1975 Chrysler Hydro-Vee Cutty?
I need pics or anything showing the structure of the boat, I have some rot and need to repair, however the structure does not make good sence. looks like just foam and some fiberglass// Please help !
Sam
I will try to find something about this boat. But, for now I tell what little I know.
In the construction of Fiberglass Boats the "Core" helps to stiffen the fiberglass, especially in large flat areas like the Transom and Deck. This is what you will find between the outside and inside fiberglass (Like making a Sandwich). Depending on the manufacturer the cores I know may be an "End-Grain Balsa (Other types woods may also be used), Airex Foam, Nomex Honeycombs". Now, rotted wood can look like a light brown Styrofoam and feel spongy like a foam.
Now, you can make an inspection hole to look around. I not sure where and what you doing. I going to give you a link. It something I have never tried. But, I found a sailboat and the deck core is in bad shape. I thought, IF, I could fix this easy and cheap enough it may be a good deal. Replacing wood and fiberglass and painting, does not sound cheap, so, this is something I found;

You can read and price, like I say, I just found this during some Brain Storming for a good, cheap sailboat.
