Leopard Tank

Does a leopard geckos whole tank need to be humid, or just the hide box?
I just got a leopard gecko and im not sure if the whole tank is suppose to have a certain humidity, or just the hide box, and what should the humidty be at?
Leopard geckos are a desert species (dry habitat) but spend much of their time under cover (humid microhabitat).
Therefore, the enclosure should be dry for optimum health. They can develop problems if they are forced to remain damp.
A moist hide box must be provided, especially for shedding and egg laying. Use a deli cup, half full with damp sphagnum, with a hole cut in the side (never the top).

Leopard 2 Tank Documentary
What's a good way to set up a leopard gecko tank?
I'm getting 2 leopard geckos and I already have a 50+ gallon tank for them. I want to make a natural enviorment for them but want to know how I can do that? I'm not interested in breeding them. How should I set it up and is it a good pet?
Leopard geckos are GREAT pets, I have a friend who has one and I take care of her whenever my friend is on vacation.
But anyways, this is typically what a leopard gecko tank setup should be like:
-Heat source(s): An under tank heater works fine, you can put it at one end of the tank to keep the temperature gradient and allow them some choice. Hot rocks should not be used. You can also use a ceramic heat emitter, it produces heat and little or no light.
-Substrate: Use sand, calcium sand, or newspaper. Do not use any substrate that they can swallow and choke on, such as pine shavings and bark chips.
-Lid: They need a wire mesh lid even though they can't climb to prevent things fro falling in.
-Water: It should always be provided fresh in a bowl with a small sponge or cotton ball so that crickets cannot climb in and drown.
-Temperature: Day - between 85-95º F, Night - between 65-75º F. Place a thermometer above the area with the under-tank heater and another at the cool end to monitor temperatures.
If you have a light, to see them better, make sure it is not too bright. They are nocturnal, so turn off this light at night.
Leopard geckos need a dry habitat with a moist hiding area. Moisten moss and place it in your pet's hiding area. Mist the moss daily to maintain humidity levels.
Since you have two of them, have two hiding places.

Skip the Betta, you'd probably have fights with the Guppies. I'd skip the Fox, too. A 29 gallon tank will be a little small for him. Maybe only get 3 Corys, they're fine in groups of 3. Other than that, sounds like a great tank!

I highly doubt Canadian combat troops will be leaving Afghanistan in 2011; with a looming Conservative majority government expected within the year, the next generation of infantry fighting vehicles (the Swedish made CV9035 Mark III Puma is in the evalution stage), our LAV III fleet slated for thicker armour and the purchase of 100 Leopard tanks, it is reasonable to believe US and Canadian troops will be fighting along side each other into the foreseeable future.

I would say at least one hide for each and one of the hides needs to be moist for shedding. The tank should be at least a 20gallon long. Also no sand you can use something like repti carpet or paper towles.
Also they need belly heat to its better to have an under tank heater. With that you will need a reptile thermostat and a digital thermometer. Most of these things can be bought at http://www.reptilesupply.com. You can email me for any further help.
