Zodiac pro open 550 boat performance?


I have a zodiac pro open 550 rib with a yamaha 115 two stroke it weighs around 1200 with people. WE started keeping it in the water this year and the mph went down 15mph from 47mph to 32mph. Is there anything i can do to increas speed. The prop on the boat is copped up and bent slightly a 21 pitch

Ehh.....start with a new prop, when it is bent it can be a 19P now and in most cases ventilating.
Also dont take the risk of unballance, it can ruin the propshaft seal.

what are the pros and cons of differet boat building materials?


i am looking for a new boat but i cant decide between aluminum and fiberglass, i will be launching the boat in shallow water off a beach and i will probably be beaching it alot, i also need a safe and verry stable boat that is relatively light and easy to launch in shallow water. let me kow what pros and cons u have experienced with ur boats.

there is not a lot of diference in the weight of the two hulls but an alloy one will not abraid as much if and when you beach it My dinghy (glass) lasted a year beaching it on the rocks daily but the alloy one is still going after 4 years albeit fairly bent and battered. For rough use or abuse I would suggest plate alloy like the pro's use

    Its pointless continuing a relationship if you both want different things.

    PS……Im not sure what the laws are over there, but in Australia defacto relationships have the same laws as marriage, when they break up.
