I think its an idiotic idea to separate the tribes by their ethnicity. The idea is just going to add more stereotypes. Look, everybodys different, all blacks arent the same, all whites arent the same and all asians are not the same. I thought america was smarter than that? Never mind, America's just ignorant.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say the person suggesting to use the hitch is an old codger who is big in to the traditional way to do things. All these other posts are correct; a splice is much stronger, and shackles are much easier to use. I’ve sailed professionally on race boats and traditional boats alike, and I’ve always used shackles to attach sails to halyards. Now as for the type/brand of snap shackle, I’ve seen some intense debate.

I think it is an interesting twist…but they are running out of ideas…i hope the show doesn't boil down to stereotypes….more so
