Racing Boat High I have a Business oppertunity but dont know which way to go?
basically im a qualified boat builder boats is my thing but my friend has told me there is a gap in the market as for Wet subs (like a underwater car for divers)
which has good profit Potential but a higher cost to build and fewer Potential buyers due to divers need lots of training etc (a wet sub is for advance divers only)
also i have never built a sub before but yet in theory its the same as a boat but with added issues to consider
where as i could build a sailing trimaran with built in hydrofoils (which i have built before with my father a long time ago) which goes so fast it out run £10,000 racing boats for around £500 this has less Potential profit but a bigger customer base also its tryed and tested
we cant go both ways due to the recession and lack of cash
i have designed both options yet although my friend is sold on a wet sub im not so sure
anyone who has any experience in Business or marine Business help please dilemma here
Stick to what you know for the time being and build the boats but use any profit you may have to build a prototype for the wet sub. Then you can build them to order as and when you sell one.
You may even be able to get a R&D grant via businesslink to help build a prototype.
Will your friend who is so keen on the wet sub be it's salesman or is he just thinking up ideas and expecting you to implement them with all the risk being yours?
There is a way to promote a company or an event that is using boat wraps, because not only other boaters will take notice but people driving also take note of the graphics on the high seas by boat.
The boats are one of the most remarkable craft until the driver of car, because for the postcode in the water, the thought of freedom and fun the boaters are having makes them see. But when racing boats with decals boat people really take note. This is because the job involves shipping the same way as the vehicle for advertising.
This is why it pays to advertise with vinyl graphics, because people take note that people may be potential customers to remember a custom graphic on a ship. This has become a common form of advertising for some transport companies, taxis and city buses. Even for some vehicles that have graphics because they like the way the design is and what is an advertising campaign in question.
When used boat graphics can advertise businesses, the boat of water and other tournament events. With vinyl graphics boat boats are not permanent so when it’s time to trade in or sell the boat, the graphics may be suspended without paint damage. This means that the boat was an investment in a business, not only for water sports and can be a business deduction.
The graphics are colorful boat to catch the eye and are manufactured from materials that are held to what water can do a job that makes it a very cost-effective advertising.
As for the racing boat graphics is something that other sailors will like the person in the vehicle and for that reason, it is a very effective way to run an advertising campaign. The idea of running an advertising campaign is to draw in business and eventually the shape of a boat vinyl graphic is not something that goes unnoticed, like many other forms of advertising. Today, even the fences do not receive notification that you once did and one reason for that is because they are not in front of the eye, but above the eye. This is not the case of a vessel graph, they are right and since that means more eyes will be watching the ad that was on a billboard.
Each company has advertising campaigns and try to find the best way to get exposure, which involves a sea of the most successful types of advertising campaigns.
This is also the perfect way for boating to advertise events and businesses that cater to surfers and restaurants near the water supply companies and other marine related companies with water. Advertise in the water has the advantage for companies that are there to receive immediate customer response.

Dress code… I'm guessing it's all down to personal preference, but I did chuckle to myself last night paddling on Union Canal (aka wooden obstacle course, now with EXTRA weed) on comparing myself to the other lady paddler out there:
Me; seventeen feet of semi tippy racing boat, thermal top, headband… Other lady paddler; very short polo boat, thermal top (fair enough), cag (OK, so it was short sleeved) and a woolly beanie hat (seriously) – it was still September……
I conclude – paddle faster lassie, you'll need less insulation!
Not sure I am ready for the Official Buccaneer Shirt (mostly because I need a dictionary to type the word hawaiian)- but my various, garish headbands would clash in a fantastic fashion!! The fashion police wouldn't know where to start!!

I used to see Rocky in his racing boat off Point Pleasant. That thing was fast. Everybody stopped to watch it go by.
