How to build a rc-jet engine?
hi
I am very interested in rc-airplanes, it takes a whole deal of money in India to pursue such a hobby and i cannot afford it, so i wanted to build my own rc-jet engine but have no idea on how to continue. so i will be very grateful to anyone who can throw some light on my problem.
thanks.
Hi, Erik
I know you want to save money. The fact is jet's turbines are very expensive. even the ones you buy complete. to build one you would need machining equipment and all the billet to make the turbine's, combustion chamber all the bearings, injectors to run it. That's just the start of things. It would be quit expensive to say the least.
I know it cost allot for you but you can get an RC plane for right about 300 U.S and down look at some hobby shops on line the best for price is nitromodels.com look for a RTF ready to fly just remember to get a trainer if you have never flown before. Or a simulator so you don't crash right off the bat. Write any time and I would be happy to help you out the best I can.
Fly safe
Dan
