Rc Engines Ship is a .18 engine any good for a new rc driver?
i am thinking about buying a 2 speed 4x4 RTR nitro gas rc car with a .18 engine in it i am woundering if it is a good one or if it is going to break really easily or if it is going to need plenty of mantianance it also comes with a starter kit. it is brand new. they want 200.00 including shipping. also what kind of gas do you use and is it expensive. thank you, matt

As you said it is brand new you will have to 'break in' the engine, this will be explained in the manual with the car, but basically make sure the car is running slightly too rich for the first half gallon of fuel and never open the throttle more than half way for more than 2 seconds at a time.
