rc engines?Where to get?

I have been watching various videos where people have built little working replicas of real v8 (or less)engines. Where do people get them? How much is it? please help!

I believe there are a few EXPENSIVE kits available, but most of the time the builder is an experienced machinist with all the proper tools.

IF you want assembled engines, there are several multi-cylinder engines available from various hobby sources.

Pull the distributor cap off. Have someone bump the starter and pay attention to the rotor button rotation. To retard the spark the distributor housing is always turned slightly the same direction of the rotor. To advance the spark turn the distributor housing opposite the rotation of the rotor. Correct ignition timing can only be done with an inductive timing light. Consult the manual in the glove compartment in the specifications section the number of degrees before top dead center to set the timing.
Your car will not start until you have spark at the plugs. Pull one out with the ignition wire in place, ground the plug threads and have a second person spin the motor over with the starter. If you have no spark at the plug gap there's an electrical problem deeper in your ignition system.

    I have 2 suggestions.

    1) Have someone crank the engine while you have a spark plug wire pulled off. Put a screwdriver in the end of the spark plug wire and hold it close to the end of the spark plug, and see if there is any spark. This is easier to do at night.

    2) Have someone check the trouble codes on the computer. They sell the box you can hook up to your computer pretty cheap, then you can look up the trouble code on the internet. You can also reset the trouble codes. I don't have one of those boxes, but I'm thinking about getting one. It sounds like the computer is telling the car not to start since you said it never catches. I'm assuming it never starts to fire.
