Reinforced Nylon

which is sexier, sandal toe or reinforced toe?
which do you think is sexier when wearing nylons, sandal toe (also called nude toe) or reinforced toe?
which do you think is more of an eye catcher?
sandals with nude toes, and reinforced with other shoes. That is on a girl. It depends on the person who is looking at it though, the guys may think its sexier to wear none, it all depends on what the guy thinks about it. Although if I felt sexy in something I wouldn't let someone else talk me out of it, unless I was not wanting to feel sexy for that day, depending on other circumstances.

As a Chicagoan, I agree with our Canadian friends.
If the temperature drops below your comfort zone, or if you're contending with snow or slush above the ankles, insulated boots and overshoes that extend up to the knees are a must – fashion be damned!
My most prized item of winter footwear is a pair of Timberland Super Iditarod Boots – Vibram soled, full silicone-treated leather backed with Gore-Tex, insulated with 800 gram Thinsulate.
Alas, these boots are no longer made (I got mine in 1993), but there are plenty of similarly effective options out there, such as Sorel Pac Boots. Also, the Neos overshoes mentioned above are great if you wear suits, and don't want your dress shoes trashed. They're insulated, and you can get them with metal studs for better traction on ice (try LL Bean).
If the weather is not in the single-digit Farenheit range, but if you have to deal with cold and damp, I recommend waterproof breathable non-insulated footwear. Johnston & Murphy have their Mabry and Medford lines. These shoes are made in Italy, come in classic styles (including a Chukka boot), have rubber and leather soles, and are FAR more affordable than most of the shoes mentioned above (around $170). Vasque makes an Italian hiking boot (the Sundowner GTX) that has clean, uncluttered lines (they don't look like high-tech running shoes or climbing gear), comes in brown or black, and would go well with more casual, tweed-type suits.
Most importantly, the J&M and Vasque products mentioned above come in widths.
Final Thoughts/Recommendations:
1. Keep your body core and your legs warm. If those areas aren't warm, your feet will be cold. Patagonia Capilene (a synthetic wicking polyester) silkweight winter underwear is comfortable even under suits. I also like LL Bean's flannel-lined chinos – they work in business casual settings, look just like regular chinos, and come in at least 3 different colors.
2. Cashmere socks (even those reinforced with nylon at the toe and heel) have worn out too quickly for me, so I can't recommended them.
3. Patagonia also makes a line of lambswool/Capilene hiking socks in various weights. I've found them to be durable and itch-free. The toe seams are placed so they won't chafe, and the foot bed is terry-looped for more insulation and comfort. They come in a variety of colors (including gray and tan), so they can work under business suits.
4. Get socks that come up to just below the knee – this will help to keep your feet warm.
Hope these recommendations help.

NEOS from Playworld Systems, Inc.: it's human-sized interactive game sort of like the old “simon” electronic game where you had to remember a sequence of four colored panels lighting up and then press the panels in the correct order. people can play alone or challenge others, and it could be viewed by adults as more appropriate for their age. (i'm not saying that pre-fab play equipment is the only way to encourage adults to play, these are just examples that i've used and love!)
3. i think encouraging people to use senses other than just vision (touch, taste, smell, hearing) is great.
4. open/unprogramed space is important, too.]]>
