Ring Exhause
1999 Mustang GT 40lbs of compression?
I have a mustang gt and in the number 4 cylinder it only has 40 lbs of compression in it. I think the valve or the push rod is the problem. It's not the ring because it dont smoke out of the exhause. Do you know how much it would cost to have a new valve or push rod put it in? Thanks
put compressed air into the # 4 cylinder and see if air leaks out of the intake, exhaust or the crankcase. if it escapes out of your intake or exhaust its a valve, if it comes out of your crankcase its a ring. Mod motors are OHC and don't have pushrods.
