My mother recently lost her pet tutle. He lived in a huge glass tank. she's given it to my brother in law, and he wants to put it outside for the winter, upside down so it doesnt fill up with snow and crack. Will that stop it from cracking? has any one done this before?
it shouldn`t crack, as long as it cannot fill with water and then be exposed to freezing as it is this freezing that would expand the water content & cause the tank to crack. but i would be concerned about the seals, i presume it is a standard 5 piece silicone sealed tank which if they dry out completely will recede and split causing your tank to leak when refilled.

Tank in the snow
Would it be healthy for my fish tank if I put melted snow in. Vs. The hard city tap water thats high in PH.?
Everything in my fishtank is turning red because of this city water. My fish are slowing down and one even looks like he has a cloudy eye. I'm at risk of staining all my plastic plants and ordaments, and most of all hurting my fish. Please someone help me.
Nope! Bacteria can grow in snow too, once its on the ground its tainted. Buy purified bottled water, or get an in home water filter. Those are the best ways to prevent nasty stuff getting in to your tank.
I don't think I was clear in my previous comment. I meant to say insert “god” in place of “g-spot”. The previous comment reads as if I meant in place of “scientist”, which makes no sense at all.
Yes, it does seem we are back at the original debate of vaginal or non-vaginal orgasm. There is a Pixar short where a snow globe figure keeps trying to escape. Finally makes it out but then falls into fish tank with the snow globe falling on top again. Forever trapped in the same small world.
That snow you see is liquid co2 leaving the gun, but it converts to a frost (tiny dry ice flakes) on its way out. The reason that happens is the gun is sucking liquid co2 out of the tank when shooting, which is pretty common with co2 tanks – co2 fills are half liquid, the liquid then converts to gas but doesn't always convert fast enough, or the liquid just gets sloshed around when playing.
The reason that results in poor gas efficiency is because that liquid shooting out as frost never got a chance to expand to a gas & do its job. Wasted co2, in other words.
An anti-siphon is a thin curved tube installed inside the tank that acts as a snorkel, preventing the liquid from leaving the tank until it's converted to a gas. An airsmith can install it, head to any paintball shop (some can do it in-house, others have to send it off). It'll definitely help your efficiency & is the cheapest option (should only be $15 at most to install).
If you still want a regulator but still use co2, you're limited to just a couple regs – one is the Palmers Stabilizer, which is like $80-100, and the other is old school WGP regs found on old autocockers. The regs found on Smart Parts Vibes is another option but i've never seen those for sale separately.
Oddly enough, upgrading to hpa (compressed air) is cheaper than buying a co2-friendly regulator. The cheapest hpa tank available is like $35-40, a 48 ci 3000 psi tank. It gets about the same number of shots as your co2 tank right now is supposed to get. And no more co2 problems.

…good thing I (we) know better.

You should be getting 400-500 shots out of a 9oz.
