I have just brought a new 125 liter tank. However i need some advise on how best to move everything as the tank instructions don't cover upgrades.
I currently have a 60 liter tank with 4 black tetras, 4 white widow tetras and a red tailed shark.
I am in the process of setting up the new tank and i intend to have it running for a good few days before i even think of moving any them. Is it best to place the black tetras in first for a few days and let them get the cycle working? Whats the best way to transfer the fish esp my shark?
Finally i have a few snails in my old tank how can i make sure none of the lil buggers get in my new tank?!

Keep as much decorations and water from your old tank to use in your new tank that you can. (Don't vacuum the gravel, just siphon the water) Also use your old filter (don't clean it first) on your new tank for a while to keep your new tank from cycling and killing your fish. This will keep your biological filter. You can use both filters at the same time if you have a new one. The fish won't go into shock if things are the same.
Snails hitchhike on everything, it always seems impossible to keep the pesty things out. I have no answer for that part.
