Teflon Bushing
Can you help me troubleshoot a 1987 Toyota Pickup Manual Transmission?
The Transmission will not shift into the gears however it acts like it may be stuck in one gear. It will not go into reverse however the backup lights will come on and the truck trys to go forward. The gear shift is very loose and very sloppy. between 1st thru the other gears there is probably 2 feet of play. We changed out a plastic or teflon bushing that we heard was supposed to be a typical thing to go out. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreaciated.
your gear selector link must be out. its just right under the car close to the gear box. Replace same

John McCain's Media free pass?
Dan Abrams the host of Verdict on MSNBC started a segment called Teflon John. He started the segment when he realized that media has given McCain a free ride the flip-flops and misstatements that would have killed the candidacy of Clinton or Obama. Much of McCain's goofs and hypocrisy is barely mentioned and if so it is in passing and is not nearly as scrutinized like that of the other candidates. McCain has flipped on a number of issues like amnesty and Bush tax cuts but the one that took the cake for me was his hypocrisy on public financing that is when I noticed the media's double standard and how no media outlet called him out on it. I don't like Abrams much but he is 100% right on this.
Please just watch the clips and you be the judge?

Yawn!....hmmm, so tired!....
He is the most qualified and dignified Presidential candidate of them all. Despite what people think, say and judge him as, he is still the best and the most intelligent of them all. So, the point is actually moot!
