Water Proof
I love surfing and was wondering what sort of water proof camera to buy. Thank you?
1. Water proof camera for surfing.
2. Brillant photographs.
3. Magazine style photographs.
4. Will pay anything for the camera.

Seems to be only mainly Pentax + Olympus putting in any effort at truly waterproof cameras that don't NEED seperate protective covers....... there's a list of reviews of what else is available here:

I also reckon the DSLR suggestions probably wouldn't be the wisest choice for going surfing with, as not only would they get in the way and bug the hell out of you, but SLR's tend to be rather heavy and could cause you to end up drowning if you end up falling off the board with it hanging round ur neck weighing you down.

Is water-proof make-up better then non-water-proof?
Water-proof mascara is not good for your lashes, and you should only wear it if you know you're going to be around a lot of water or crying alot.
The other water-proof make-ups are no better or worse than non-water-proof. It's your personal preference.

Grand-paws homemade "Leather Butter"
Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts linseed oil. Apply with a rag, let it soak in, then rub it dry. It works great on tool belts, knife sheaths, boots and gloves.
It will darken lighter leathers(just the thing to make that new tool belt look old),
The only warning, let the vinegar evaporate overnight before putting your tools in the belt. The vinegar will react with metal.

Anyone that lives in a cold climate knows that working your touchscreen smartphone can be a big problem outdoors if you are wearing gloves. You can get drastic to use your iPhone with an app like NoseDial or you can just get these simple and cheap devices from Quirky called Digits.
